The hotel's location is excellent.Closest metro station was St Georges only 100m away.Hotel was very clean and neat, our rooms was a nice size, spotlessly clean and comfortable.Breakfast was delicious and included and the snacks and bevarages was a bonus from 2h00 ever day! Walking distance from Montmatre and Galleries Laffayette.
Lift didnt work.
Clean, light and fresh rooms. Superb staff who would go out of their way to assist you. Breakfast ample.
Rooms are TINY! And I mean ridiculously so! There are no wardrobes just a hanging contraption like ones you had when you were a student. Bathrooms have not been refurbished. Generally it's a an ok hotel which is totally overpriced for what you get.
There are several things that were great about this hotel, including the main front desk guy (whose name I don't know), who was very knowledgeable and helpful (the night guy was nice, but wasn't very helpful, but that was primarily due to the fact that I don't speak French and he spoke almost no English). The bed was very comfortable, the room and decor of the hotel were very cute, and the breakfast had just the right type of (tasty!) foods to get the day started!
I wasn't too excited about the fact that the elevator/lift was broken when I arrived, and that there never seemed to be anyone around working on it. Four days later when I checked out, it was still not working. My friend and I jokingly determined that it probably never works. So, even though we got a good work-out walking up four flights of stairs each time we went to and from the hotel, I am glad I didn't have to lug my 24kg suitcase up (one of the staff did that for me) and only had to drag it down once (when I left).
The friendliness of the staff (which is really exceptional for Paris.) They did everything in their power to accommodate us. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good and a lot better than the customary "croissant-plus-coffee". It was included in the room price. Upon asking for a discount because of the elevator not working, I was granted 10% (after a bit of insisting). Provided I was given a room on the first floor, I would consider staying there again.
Elevator was not working (there seems to be a lot of problems with that elevator!) I must add though that upon complaining (we were on the 4th floor and I suffer from a hernia) and asking to change rooms, this was promptly done the next night. Although the room was nicely furnished, the open rack for clothing made it look cheap. Though bathroom was ample enough for Paris standards, the shower was ridiculously small. The one on the 4th floor was also probably missing a trap (or siphon) which made for a very bad odour. No problem in the bathroom on the 1st floor though. Towels could have been larger.
Hotel Monterosa was fantastic and I highly recommend staying there. Looking for a hotel in Paris is not an easy task because prices are so high and the quality of hotels for a reasonable price is not that great. I cam upon Hotel Monterosa and it looked great in the pics. It is even better in person. The entire hotel and the rooms are super clean, the rooms are very modern and the beds are extremely comfortable.....it's not a huge room but not that small either...it was comfortable enough. The hotel staff is absolutely amazing....they were so helpful with everything we asked for. We arrived at the hotel 3 or 4 hours before check in time and I wasn't feeling well so we told the concierge and he quickly arranged for our room to be ready and let us check in hours earlier! The hotel offered complimentary breakfast as well as snacks and beverages throughout the day. The locations was great....just a couple metro stops away from the centre of Paris. There is a metro stop a few minutes walk away from the hotel. When I go back to Paris I will definitely stay at Monterosa again as it was great and I don't have a single complaint.
The personnel was very nice. Also the free drinks from 2 p.m. was great. Everything about this hotel is as it should be.
1. Location is good and close to City Center; 2. Rooms are not big, but very comfortable.
1. No Bath Towels in the bathrooms 2. No refrigerator in the room. 3. Breakfast is for additional payment 15 Euro person/day.
Room was modern and very clean, free bar during the day was excellent, stuff cheerful.
In the next room couple have a sex many times in the middle of the night and they make it so loud, that I and my girlfriend woke up.
Good value for money, nice brand new hotel.Free tea-cofee-water at the lobby, free wi-fi.
A little bit far walking distance from most points of interest, but metro station is near.
Excellent location and quiet atmosphere
Very modest breakfast. Poor value for the 15€ spent!
Rooms are clean, front office staff is polite and speak english. Bathroom is big, free internet service.
Clear rooms, good facilities, comfort bed, opportunity to drink tea and coffee even if you don't buy breakfast there.
The hotel is really good for Paris. The rooms are new, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds. Location is excellent. Drinks are available day and night and are free.
No ventilation in the bathroom, the air in the rooms is very humid, towels do not get dry till the morning. We didn't take breakfast, as it is poor for the price of 15 euro..
the design and the colors in the room was very nice; the hotel is clean and comfortable.
very noisy; you do not have any kind of privacy. impossible to sleep after 8 am.
The location. Rooms were also well maintained and modern.
The loud noise the room doors made when closed by fellow guests was extremely loud, rude and disturbing especially during the course of the evening. I have stayed in may hotels across Europe and there is adequate insulation of this noise. I did not like that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in each room. It was really frustrating that the programme choice of TV channels was very limited - there was no choice of entertainment channels i.e movies in English. Just the news was on.
